It is becoming increasingly clear that the survival and well-being of humans now depends on our ability to work together successfully and productively, to reach out to one another, to help one another. Together, we CAN improve the quality of life on Earth.

There are many excellent programs aimed at helping create a better world. And we applaud them. But few, if any, are addressing the thinking that is causing the problems we face. Thinking that is unclear, inaccurate, undisciplined and unethical is at the root of most of the world's problems. Yet the thinking that generates these problems is largely overlooked. Until we begin to take our thinking seriously, we will not be able to fully address the enormous problems we now face. The Foundation for Critical Thinking is committed to bringing thinking to the forefront, and we are dedicated to distributing fundamental tools of critical thinking worldwide.

Every year the Foundation for Critical Thinking sends hundreds of thousands of free thinker's guides to educators across the country to introduce them to critical thinking and offer suggestions for bringing it into their classrooms. We also fund translations of our work, most of which are available for free download on our website. We provide scholarships for our conferences and events.

For 28 years we have funded all of these projects ourselves. But we need your help to expand the work of critical thinking.
